Why is this not talked about more? Also, yes men have pelvic floors to but they don’t have a baby ripping through them at birth 😅
For both of my pregnancies, I really focused on protecting and supporting my pelvic floor for long term care. Your pelvic floor is so important and is what essential holds everything in and I just feel like it doesn’t get enough love 🤎
Sadly I find unless you physically go to a pelvic floor physician no one (unless you have amazing midwives @midwivesofyorkregion ) are going to really ask you about it post birth. This is why when it comes to our health we need to advocate for ourselves as well and do our own research and find the help we need to support our bodies and health.
It’s never to late to go book an appointment and even if you don’t have insurance (like me) one appointment can let you know where you’re at and they can give you homework aka exercises to do at home (for free).
I’m curious, have you ever had your pelvic floor checked? 🤔
